BACKGROUND

The approved fiscal budget for the Period Ending December 31, 2015 includes $22,000 for the replacement of one passenger vehicle.  The current vehicle is over 13 years old and scheduled for replacement. The Fleet unit has inspected the vehicle and recommends replacement based on its condition.

This proposed purchase is through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) which is a joint purchasing program for local communities. The SPC represents 143 municipalities in the six county are of Northern Illinois and is administered through the Northwest Municipal Conference, Dupage Mayors & Managers Conference, South Suburban Mayors & Managers Conference and Will County Government League.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board award the bid to Curie Motors of Frankfort, Illinois in the amount of $17,338 for the purchase of one passenger vehicle for the Engineering Department and authorize Staff to execute the necessary contracts.
