Several residents living in the Arlington Park subdivision have requested additional traffic control at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Brown Street. Based upon these requests, a traffic study was conducted which analyzed vehicle volumes, speeds, accident data and intersection conditions.  Based on the results of the study, as well as a site inspection showing limited sight distance at this corner, a stop sign for Brown Street to stop for Chicago Avenue is recommended.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the attached Ordinance Designating a Two-Way Stop Street, with Brown Street to stop for Chicago Avenue, be approved.
