The Village submitted construction plans and a permit application to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) on May 28, 2019 to remove and replace the ADA sidewalk ramps at three locations where Village maintained streets intersect with a State route.  As of October 16, 2019, the IDOT permit has not yet been issued but is expected to be issued within the next few weeks.  It is recommended that the completion date be extended from October 31, 2019 to November 30, 2019 to allow the Contractor Arrow Road sufficient time to complete the remainder of the project.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board authorize the 2019 Resurfacing Program and Sidewalk Program - Change Order No. 2, with Arrow Road be extended in the contract to November 30th, 2019, and authorize staff to execute the necessary documents.
