Background

In September 2019, the Village sent out Requests for Proposals (RFP) for auditing services. Our current auditing firm, Lauterbach & Amen completed a six-year engagement ending with the 2018 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Written proposals for audit services for the Village and the Library, for one year and four option years were received from four firms.  The results of these proposals, based on price are as follows:

Note:  The fees for the 2018 audit performed by Lauterbach & Amen were $44,755

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Village Board of Trustees accept the audit service proposal from Sikich. References were verified with several of their clients an positive reviews were received.
