On January 19, 2016, the Village Board awarded Eco Clean Maintenance of Elmhurst, IL a three-year contract for Elevator and Stairwell Cleaning services at the four municipal-owned parking structures. The 2020 budget for Parking Garages has a total Custodial Service budget of $67,200. The Village owns and maintains twelve stairwells and six elevators at these facilities. The contract requires a daily cleaning of these amenities.
Eco Clean Maintenance has completed the work satisfactorily over the past four years. Therefore, staff is recommending the second of three potential one-year contract extensions, per original contract terms. This request will extend the contract until January 2021. The contractor has agreed to extend the contract for one additional year without a cost increase.
Funds for these services are available in Account Nos. 235-7301-532.21-11 (Municipal Garage), 235-7302-532.21-11 (Vail Garage), 235-7303-532.21-11 (North Garage), and 235-7304-532.21-11 (Evergreen Garage) for an estimated expense of $50,000.00.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Village Board approve a one-year contract extension for Elevator and Stairwell Cleaning to ECO Clean Maintenance of Elmhurst, Illinois at their monthly bid price, and authorize staff to execute the necessary documents.
