All sworn members of the Fire Department adhere to a uniform dress code. Their uniforms are of quality construction, workmanship, and appearance. This is based on article construction, which includes stitching, straightness of seams and fabric warranty. The Village's contract for Fire Department clothing with JG Uniforms, Inc. has expired. On March 5, 2020, bids were publicly opened and the results are below:

This bid is for duty and dress uniform items only, not turnout gear. The bid proposal included estimated quantities, although the actual amount spent will vary depending on the individual needs of each firefighter. The bid contains unit prices and those are the actual prices to be paid. The total is an estimate and the total amount spent will likely vary. 

Funding for uniforms is available in account 101-3501-512-3035.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board award the bid to Galls LLC and authorize execution of a 12 month agreement, which the Village may choose to renew for two additional 12 month periods. This bid award is based on unit prices.
