The Village wishes to support business operations as much as possible during the current COVID19 situation. This week a new application was finalized and eligible for Village Board approval.  It is important for the liquor applicant to be placed on the April 27 Board Agenda as the current liquor license expires on April 30.

On Thursday afternoon, April 22, Staff met with Patrice Aguirre, the new owner of La Zingara Trattoria who is seeking a full-service “Class “A” liquor license. The application was reviewed and Staff conducted a walk-thru of the establishment. The seating arrangement reflects the submitted floor plan. The owner is making cosmetic changes to the establishment. The Arlington Heights Police Department completed a background check on Mrs. Aguirre, who has 100% ownership interest in the business entity. No issues were noted.
 
Staff reported its findings to Mayor Hayes, who then conducted a phone interview with Mrs. Aguirre. They had a satisfactory liquor interview and Mayor Hayes is recommending approval and issuance of a liquor license to this establishment.   

Liquor Classification: Class "A" license permits the retail sale, in restaurants only, of alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises where sold and have a seating capacity at tables for a minimum of 25 persons for food service.

Establishment Liquor Hours: M-Th: 11:00 am-10:00 pm,  Fri-Sun: 11:00 am-10:30 pm

Lease or Ownership: Leased thru 2022

Staff Recommendation: That the Village Board approve the issuance of a Class “A” liquor license to Two Brothers & A Friend, Inc. dba La Zingara Trattoria located at 2300 E. Rand Road.
