In addition to approval of a Local Public Agency Agreement IDOT (previously approved), the Buffalo Creek Multi-Use Trail Extension Project also requires a Short Term Permit Agreement with the Lake County Forest Preserve.  This Agreement grants the Village authority to construct the approximate 500 feet of aggregate multi-use trail on the Lake County Forest Preserve property.  Lake County Forest Preserve has already approved this Agreement, which has the Forest Preserve agreeing to resume maintenance of the trail section located within their property limits upon its completion.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the attached Resolution Approving a Short Term Permit Agreement with the Lake County Forest Preserve.
