Discussions have continued between the Village and the Park District over the past few months concerning the disposition of two lots within the green space located at Happiness Park, 2206 N. Verde Dr.  Use of the green space including the Park District owned lots is the best solution to expansion of the existing detention basin for the Greenbrier/Roanoke Stormwater Improvement Project.  The discussions have resulted in the Park District’s conveyance of the two lots to the Village at no cost.  A Resolution authorizing the transfer was approved at the November 10, 2020, Park District Board meeting. 

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve an Ordinance accepting the transfer of real property from the Arlington Heights Park District.
