The 2021 Operating Budget includes $67,000 for contractual building maintenance for all four Municipal Parking Garages.
On November 30, 2020, bids were opened for contractual stairwell and elevator cleaning at the Village’s four parking garages (Municipal Garage, Vail Garage, North Garage and Evergreen Garage).
Three bids were received as shown on the bid tabulation below:

This is a three-year contract with the option of up to three 1-year contract extensions, per Village Board approval. This three-year contract provides for the twice-a-day cleaning of the four Village Parking Garage's stairwells and elevators.
Reference checks were performed on the lowest bidder, A Plus Quality Service. All references were checked and found to be favorable, and their bid meets specifications. Therefore, staff recommends the award of a 3-year contract beginning January 1, 2021 to A Plus Quality Service of Arlington Heights, IL.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending that the Village Board award the Parking Garage Stairwell & Elevator Cleaning Services bid to the lowest responsible bidder, A Plus Quality Service of Arlington Heights, Illinois for a three-year contract in the amount of $3,245 per month ($38,940 annually) and authorize staff to execute the necessary documents.
