Background

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre is requesting a waiver of the Raffle License Bond required to hold a raffle for  the Soiree fundraiser.  All funds raised at the Virtual Beer Tasting event on January 23, 2021 will support the Performing Arts at Metropolis. Raffle tickets will be sold at $20, for a chance to win a split of the proceeds.  The value of the final pot is estimated to be $750.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Village Board grant the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre a waiver of the Raffle License Bond requirement.
