Item: Water & Sewer Improvement Design Contract - Change Order

At the October 19th, 2020, Village Board meeting, an extension of our annual contract for watermain design with IMEG Engineering was approved for 2021. In the staff request, we estimated the expenditures to be approximately $100,000. Since that time, staff increased the scope of the 2021 work because it became apparent that the watermain work associated with the Berkley/Hintz Stormwater Control Project would be delayed until at least 2022.


Therefore, staff is requesting a Change Order in the amount of an additional $49,840 for the design and construction observation associated with the increased scope.

 

The additional funding for these services is available in Account No. 505-9001-571.50-25 (WA9001).

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the Change Order for the Water & Sewer Improvement Design Contract with IMEG Engineering of Gurnee, Illinois, to increase the contract cost by $49,840 and to authorize staff to execute the necessary documents.
