Each year, the Village Board is required to pass a Resolution authorizing the expenditure of Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Maintenance Funds.  As a result of an Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) audit, it was discovered that the Resolution for 2017 Traffic Signal Maintenance was never adopted by the Village Board. Attached is the IDOT Motor Fuel Tax Resolution for Maintenance Under the Illinois Highway Code appropriating funds for 2017 Traffic Signal Maintenance.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board adopt the Resolution for Maintenance under the Illinois Highway Code and appropriate $111,936.60 and authorize Staff to execute the necessary submittals.  Funding for this expenditure will come from the Public Works MFT Programs Capital Projects Account No. 401-7101-571.50-40
