Robert Owings, owner of Owings Wine Cellars, Inc. dba Vintages Wine Shop located at 32 S. Evergreen Avenue currently holds a Class BB (retail sale of wine and beer only but not for consumption on the premises sold) and T (tasting of alcoholic liquor) liquor license.  Mr. Owings is requesting to change the license to a Class B and T liquor license as Vintages would like to sell craft spirits and the current classification does not allow for that.  The Class B license would allow Vintages to sell craft spirits as the classification is for retail sale of alcoholic liquor but not for consumption on the premises sold.

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the Village Board adopt the ordinance increasing Class B and decreasing Class BB liquor licenses in accordance with the request from Owings Wine Cellars, Inc.  dba Vintages Wine Shop located at 32 S. Evergreen Avenue.
