Engineering Staff has reviewed the location of North Wilshire Lane between Eastman Street and Euclid Avenue concerning parking.  Vehicles parked on both sides of the street when the parks are in use results in an insufficient width for traffic to drive on North Wilshire Lane, creating a concern for fire or medical situations. Based on this concern for emergency vehicle traffic, the Engineering Division supports parking restrictions on the east side of North Wilshire Lane between Eastman and Euclid.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that an Ordinance Prohibiting Parking on the east side of North Wilshire Lane, between Eastman Street and Euclid Avenue, be approved.
