| | | | Engineering Staff reviewed the location of East Hawthorne Street between Wilshire Lane and Gibbons Avenue concerning parking. Vehicles parked on both sides of the street when the parks are in use results in an insufficient width for traffic to drive on East Hawthorne Street, creating a concern for fire or medical situations. Based on this concern for emergency vehicle traffic, the Engineering Division supports parking restrictions on the south side of East Hawthorne Street between Wilshire Lane and Gibbons Avenue.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that an Ordinance Prohibiting Parking on the south side of East Hawthorne Street between Wilshire Lane and Gibbons Avenue, be approved. |
