Engineering Staff has reviewed the traffic operations on George Street at Pine Avenue concerning parking.  On George Street, parking is currently allowed up to 20 feet from the intersection, causing a site distance issue with vehicles entering George Street at Pine Avenue.  Moving the distance of no parking from 20 feet to 40 feet  on the north side of George, will open up the site distance.  The Engineering Division supports parking restrictions on the north side George Street at Pine Avenue, from 20 feet to 40 feet west.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that an Ordinance Prohibiting Parking on the north side of George Street at Pine Avenue, be approved.
