The 2021 Capital Improvement Program includes $45,000 for the removal and replacement of the 13-ton Condensing Unit and Evaporating Coil Split System unit at the Downtown Train Station. A Split System is similar to a residential furnace. It is made up of a blower that moves air across two separate coils. One is a heat exchanger which transfers heat into the air flow. The other coil is piped into an air conditioning unit called a condenser.
On September 22nd, a public bid opening was held and six bids were opened and publicly read aloud. The results for the selected items are as follows:

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Village Board award the removal and replacement of the 13-ton Condensing Unit and Evaporating Coil Split System unit at the Downtown Train Station to The Stone Group of Chicago, Illinois, in an amount not-to-exceed $29,845 and authorize staff to execute the necessary documents.
