The Engineering Division has received numerous requests for improvements to the signage for various intersections along Grove Street from Gibbons Avenue to Dale Avenue in the vicinity of Prospect High School. Staff reviewed crash data, traffic counts, and the existing signage along the entire corridor for Grove Street. After evaluating stop sign warrants, the Village will be making changes to five of the nine intersections. The intent is to improve safety at these intersections and to create a more consistent and intuitive traffic pattern within the neighborhood.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the attached ordinance Designating Two Way and All Way Stop Streets for the Grove Street Corridor, be approved.
