The Village requested proposals from twelve qualified professional engineering consultants to provide Engineering plan review and private development inspection services. The Village received three consultant proposals.

A committee of three Staff members was established to carefully review each proposal. Proposals identified the consultants’ understanding of the services, how they intend to provide the services, the key personnel assigned, and their overall qualifications. Firms also provided the requested hourly rate for their services, as summarized below:

All three firms propose utilizing a team of personnel, providing flexibility during foreseen and unforeseen employee time off. All three firms are eminently qualified to provide the required services, and the committee recommends Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. The term of the contract would conclude in December 2022 in an amount not to exceed $155,000.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board award a one-year contract to Engineering Resource Associates of Warrenville, Illinois, for Engineering Plan Reviewer/Private Development Inspector services, in an amount not to exceed $155,000, and authorize staff to execute the necessary documents.
