The approved Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes $4.1 million for the funding of Water System Improvements. Staff has developed an in-house test program to replace 100 lead service lines, that are only on the public side of the service.  

Village staff has developed and advertised a public bid for this project. This bid was designed to provide competitive pricing for water service materials that Staff will install. The materials will be enough to replace 100 water services that have lead on the public side and copper on the residents side.  
 
On March 22nd, four bids were publicly opened and read aloud, and the bid results are listed below:

The low bid is from Water Products Company at $65,224.00. Staff has been pleased with past purchases through Water Products, and their bid meets specifications. Staff recommends award to Water Products Company.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board award the Water Service Materials bid to Water Products Company, of Aurora, Illinois, in the not-to-exceed amount of $65,224.00 and authorize Staff to execute the necessary documents.
