The Engineering Division has been contacted recently by the residents concerning the lack of speed limit signs along E Miner St between N Arlington Heights Rd & N Rammer Ave.  After reviewing the records, it was determined that this section of E Miner St and the section of N Douglas Ave between E Kensington Rd & E Euclid Ave have been posted with a speed limit of 25 mph, however there was no ordinance to support those restrictions.

To rectify this situation, the Engineering Department is proposing an ordinance that will support the posted speed limits.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that an Ordinance establishing a speed limit of 25 mph along portions of East Miner Street and North Douglas Avenue, be approved.
