The Village Engineering Department received a complaint concerning the sight distance at the corner of N Dryden Pl and E Wing St that is caused by parked vehicles. Currently, the Village Code only prohibits parking near an intersection if a crosswalk is present. There is no crosswalk on N Dryden Pl at this location, therefore a relevant section of the code cannot be used to enforce obstructive parking. To protect this corner from parking and improve visibility, an ordinance to prohibit parking on the west side of N Dryden Pl as per the attached map is necessary.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that an Ordinance Prohibiting Parking be approved.
