The Arlington Heights Police Station façade was submitted to the Masonry Advisory Council for consideration of the Excellence in Masonry Architectural Award. This award recognizes the achievement of outstanding architectural design and creativity as well as the execution of excellence in masonry work. Each submission was judged on detail, composition and the artful use of masonry products. The Arlington Heights Police Station was chosen as the best overall project in the Governmental category, outscoring similar regional government construction projects. Chief Pecora joined Legat Architects and Iwanski Masonry at the Museum of Science and Industry on December 3, 2022 for the award presentation.
At the January 17th Village Board meeting, Ms. Kathryn Kurzawa, Executive Director of the Masonry Advisory Council, will appear before the Village Board to present the Village with this prestigious award.
