Resolution- Agreement re Harmony Fest Featuring the Taste of Arlington Heights

The Village has a long history of working with the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce to put on one of the most successful community events in Chicagoland- the Mane Event/Taste of Arlington Heights. With the introduction of Arlington Alfresco and the closing of the racetrack, the event was moved to the fall and rebranded Harmony Fest Featuring the Taste of Arlington Heights. Over the past year the Mayor and Village Manager met with the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce to refine operational practices to ensure the continued and future success of the event. The attached agreement was drafted to codify these agreed upon principles.

Recommendation

Staff recommends that the Village Board approve a resolution which authorizes the Mayor to execute the attached agreement with the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce regarding Harmony Fest Featuring the Taste of Arlington Heights.
