BACKGROUND

In August 2012 uniforms were publicly bid and opened, and a one-year contract was awarded to Kale/ASR Uniforms Inc.  This initial one-year contract provided for two one-year extensions.   The contract was renewed in October, 2013 and the Fire Department would like to extend the contract one more year.  If approved, the contract will expire on October 15, 2015.  Kale/ASR has agreed to maintain their current contract pricing for the upcoming year.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve a one-year contract extension to Kale/ASR Uniforms of Wheaton, Illinois for furnishing and delivery of uniforms to the Fire Department. The actual amount expended for uniforms in any fiscal year is based upon the budgeted funds available in account 101-3501-512.30-35 and the actual amount of uniform items required throughout the year.  Kale/ASR has been a responsible vendor in the past.
