Item: 2400 E. Euclid Avenue Plat of Easement

BACKGROUND

 

The single-family home located at 2400 E Euclid Avenue was demolished in 2008 and the Village recently received a permit application to construct a new single-family home on the property.   The previous home was accessed via a long driveway off of Euclid Avenue and through a private easement across the property located at 2424 E. Euclid Avenue.  Staff had concerns of emergency access with the existing driveway.  The proposed plat of easement dedicates an easement for the existing public water main and for cross access across 664 N. Scottsvale Lane which will allow a driveway off of Scottsvale Lane, a private street, to the home at 2400 E. Euclid Avenue, and dedicates a public utility easement along the west property line of 2400 E. Euclid Avenue for the existing public water main.

 

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the Plat of Easement for 2400 E Euclid Avenue and 664 N Scottsvale Lane.
