Background
The Village’s 2022-2023 Business Plan directed staff to introduce a scientifically valid community survey to residents, to be issued by a 3rd party every two years, or on a regularly occurring basis, to help guide strategic planning. In January 2023, the Village contracted with Policy Confluence, Inc., or POLCO, to issue a National Community Survey, or NCS, a proven standard of community surveys for government agencies including municipalities.
National Community Survey Results
The Village has received its first ever National Community Survey (NCS) results and the findings were very positive. The survey rated 10 facets of community livability, including mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, parks & recreation, health & wellness, education & arts/culture, inclusivity & engagement, and economy. Overall, the Village of Arlington Heights was rated very high.
Presentation of Survey Results
Results will be presented by a POLCO representative at the July 17th Village Board Meeting.
