The 2023 approved budget includes $1,816,800 for the rehabilitation of the Station #17 water tank located at 222 N. Ridge Avenue (Public Works). The Station consists of (2) one-million gallon and (1) two-million-gallon water storage tanks.
As part of the evaluation of the two-million-gallon tank decommissioning, Staff and the consulting engineer determined additional improvements necessary to redirect water to and from the appropriate remaining storage tanks. This includes installing new piping underground to decommission the two-million-gallon tank and redirect water flow to/from the two smaller one-million-gallon tanks on site. Robinson Engineering prepared project specifications and construction documents, which were advertised and circulated to known qualified contractors for this portion of the project, as well as the demolition contract, which is proposed to be awarded alongside this project.
Two separate bid openings were held on November 3, 2023. (One for the tank demolition and one for tank painting/pipe modifications). Both were opened and publicly read aloud. The results of the painting and pipe modifications portion of the project are provided below:
CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID

Jetco, LTD, Wauconda, IL $1,269,757
