At the request of the Police Chief, the attached ordinance changes the title of Police Captain to Deputy Police Chief. The three current Police Captains will become Deputy Chiefs. This is a change in title only - there is no increase in pay or change in duties.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Village Board adopt the attached Ordinance Amending Chapter 4 of the Arlington Heights Municipal Code changing the title of Police Captain to Deputy Police Chief.
