BACKGROUND

 

The Fire Department currently has automatic fire mutual aid agreements with several northwest suburbs.  These agreements provide for the supply of extra manpower and equipment from and to Arlington Heights when needed in response to a structural fire alarm.  The Village has had an agreement of reciprocal coverage between Arlington Heights and Rolling Meadows since 1973. 

 

The City of Rolling Meadows and the Village have agreed to update and amend the existing agreement.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the execution of An Automatic Fire Mutual Aid Agreement with the City of Rolling Meadows.
