Item: Replacement of Two Pick-Up Trucks - Public Works

BACKGROUND

 

The approved budget for the period ending December 31, 2015 includes $63,860 for the replacement of two Four-Wheel Drive Pick-Up Trucks for the Utility Division of the Public Works Department.  Fleet Unit personnel have inspected the vehicles and deemed them in need of replacement.  The vehicles to be replaced are 12 and 13 years old.  If this award is approved, the existing vehicles will be disposed of in accordance to Village policy.

 

The current State of Illinois Contract for Pick-Up Trucks is with Bob Ridings, Inc. of Taylorville, Illinois. 

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

It is recommended that the Village Board award the bid to Bob Ridings, Inc. of Taylorville, Illinois in the amount of $63,108 for the purchase of two F250 Four-Wheel Drive Pick-Up Trucks for the Public Works Department and authorize the execution of the necessary documents.
