Item: Appropriation of MFT Funds for 2013 Public Works Maintenance Operations

BACKGROUND

 

Each year, the Village Board is required to pass a Resolution authorizing the expenditure of MFT Maintenance Funds.  As a result of an Illinois Department of Transportation audit, it was discovered that the Resolution for 2013 was never adopted by the Village Board. Attached is the IDOT Motor Fuel Tax Resolution for Maintenance of Streets and Highways by a Municipality Under the Illinois Highway Code and the Municipal Estimate of Maintenance Costs appropriating funds for selected 2013 Public Works Street Maintenance Operations.    

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

It is recommended that the Village Board adopt the Resolution for Maintenance of Streets and Highways by a Municipality under the Illinois Highway Code and appropriate $199,185.66 and authorize Staff to execute the necessary submittals.  Funding for this expenditure will come from the Public Works MFT Program Capital Projects Account 401-7101-571.50-40.
