Johler Demolition, located at 125 W. Boeger Drive, has requested No Parking along a portion of Boeger Drive.

The aerial plan attached to the ordinance illustrates the required locations, including driveway areas, for safe entering and exiting of the machinery necessary for Johler Demolition. Engineering has meet with a representative of the medical office located at the southeast corner of Arlington Heights Road and Boeger Drive as well as Fleur de Lavie daycare directly across from Johler Demolition and neither was opposed to the No Parking proposal. Due to the size of the demolition equipment and the required machinery necessary to move the equipment and the support from the neighboring businesses, the Engineering Department supports the request for No Parking.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the attached Ordinance Prohibiting Parking on a portion of Boeger Drive near 125 West Boeger Drive be approved.
