BACKGROUND

On October 20, 2008, the Village Board approved the vacation of a  17 foot portion of unimproved Oakton Street  located north of the properties at 1019 N. Highland and 1018 N. Vail, without compensation.  A 10 foot easement on the north 10 feet of the right-of-way to be vacated was preserved. The homeowners were responsible for preparation of the Plat of Vacation and the homeowner has finally submitted a complete Plat.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve an Ordinance vacating a 17 foot portion of unimproved Oakton Street located north of 1019 N. Highland and 1018 N. Vail and granting a public utility easement on the north 10 feet of the vacated right-of-way.
