BACKGROUND

The Secretary of State has modified its weight classification for trucks with respect to annual license fees. The redistribution of weight has increased the number of existing weight classifications from 14 to 16. It is necessary that the two additional classifications be added to that portion of Section 17-107, Annual Fees, as it relates to vehicle licenses for Trucks, in the Code. The addition of two classifications has also slightly shifted the fee schedule of four of the existing weight classes as a result.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the attached Ordinance amending that portion of Section 17-107, Annual Fees, of the Arlington Heights Municipal Code, as it relates to vehicle licenses for trucks.
