BACKGROUND

Mago Grill and Cantina, located at 107 and 115 W. Campbell Street, has submitted an application for outdoor dining on the public sidewalk along Campbell Street. 

Chapter 28, Section 5.1-14.2 allows the use of public sidewalks for outdoor eating cafes subject to certain criteria. In the event that alcoholic beverages are to be served on the public sidewalk, the Village’s process requires review and approval by the Village Board. 

Mago Grill and Cantina is proposing ten four-top tables and four two-top tables which will be located on each side of the main building entrance along Campbell Street.

Consistent with the requirements for delineation of outdoor dining spaces, Mago Grill and Cantina is proposing planters along Campbell Street to delineate their outdoor eating area.  Mago Grill and Cantina has provided the appropriate insurance provisions.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the attached Resolution Approving a License Agreement with Mago Grill and Cantina.
