In 1997, the Village and the Arlington Heights Park District entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement for use of the Senior Center. The Agreement was for 20 years, with the Park District having the ability to exercise its option for another 20 years. The Agreement contains several provisions that relate to the construction of the Senior Center, so rather than just exercise the option to renew, it seemed to make more sense to update the Agreement. The provisions relating to the build-out of the Senior Center have been removed and a few provisions related to operations have been added. The Park Board approved this Agreement at its meeting on September 19.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board adopt the Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement for the Park District's use of the Arlington Heights Senior Center.
