BACKGROUND

 

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is scheduled to resurface Central Road within the Village of Arlington Heights in 2018.  As part of the project, the intersection of Arthur Ave. and Central Road includes improvements related to meeting ADA compliant sidewalk.  In order to accommodate the ADA improvements at this intersection, a temporary private property construction easement is needed to provide for required transitions.  The owner has authorized the property manager to execute a temporary construction easement.  IDOT requires that the Village Board approve the temporary construction easement.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the Resolution accepting a temporary construction easement at 1551 E. Central Road.
