At the September 5, 2017 Closed Session, the Village Board authorized settlement of the workers' compensation claim for Police Officer Michael Turano.  Officer Turano was investigating a suspicious vehicle at a parking garage. The vehicle suddenly sped off when he approached causing him to injure his left knee when he had to quickly move out of the path of the moving vehicle.

The settlement amount of $31,620.91 falls within the authorization previously granted by the Board. 

RECOMMENDATION 

It is recommended that the Village Board approve a settlement of $31,620.91 for the workers' compensation claim for Police Officer Michael Turano.
