Project Background

CA Ventures has requested an Early Review with the Village Board to discuss revisions to the Sigwalt Apartment project proposed at the northwest corner of Sigwalt Street and Highland Avenue. A previous version of this project appeared before the Village Board on October 16, 2017, which resulted in a vote of denial. Concerns at that time related to parking, density, loading and deliveries, the mass, height, and setbacks of the structure, and the extent of the variations required for the proposed development. Since this meeting, the petitioner has revised their proposal to address some of the concerns raised by the Village Board and surrounding community. They are seeking preliminary feedback from the Village Board relative to the proposed plan modifications prior to initiating the formal approval process.
