Item: 2018 MFT Street Reconstruction & Street Rehabilitation Program

There are approximately 3.18 miles of streets included in this program:

  • Fifteen street segments that will be fully reconstructed
  • Four street segments that will be rehabilitated with widening
  • One street segment that will be widened and fully reconstructed
  • Adding a 200' lane to Ridge Avenue

 

Bids were duly advertised and publicly opened: 

 

      J. A. Johnson Paving                $4,155,551.00

      R.W. Dunteman Company    $4,277,785.53

      Arrow Road Construction      $4,298,586.73

      Builder’s Paving, LLC            $4,448,000.00

      Engineer’s Estimate              $4,509,727.72

 

J.A. Johnson Paving has successfully performed the reconstruction program for the Village several times in the past.  If approved, this project will begin in late May or early June and will be completed by the end of September.

 

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board award a contract to Johnson Paving in the amount of $4,155,551.00.
