Over the past several months, the Village Staff Pavement Committee developed a plan to resurface approximately 6 miles of asphalt streets for the 2018 Resurfacing Program.

Bids were duly advertised and publicly opened on April 30, 2018. The bids received and the Engineer’s Estimate are as follows for the Base Bid, CDBG Streets, Alternate A (installation of shared bike lane striping on Dryden Ave) and Alternate B (drainage improvements at the west end of Emerson St):

Arrow Road Construction has successfully performed the resurfacing program for the Village for the past several years, including the 2017 Resurfacing Program. 

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Village Board authorize the execution of a contract with Arrow Road Construction, Inc. in the amount of $3,779,828.25 for the 2018 Resurfacing Program.
