With the moving of the Engineering Department in to Public Works, the Code needs to be amended to delete the section creating the Director of Engineering position. As there are numerous references to the Director of Engineering throughout the Code, the ordinance also changes the designation throughout the Code from Director of Engineering to Village Engineer.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Village Board adopt the attached Ordinance Amending Chapter 3 of the Arlington Heights Municipal Code, deleting the Code section creating the Director of Engineering position.
