Public Act 100-1066, effective in August, expands the time to file charges of discrimination with the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) from 180 days to 300 days. The Village Board policy on Sexual Harassment needs to be amended to reflect the new time limit for filing charges with the IDHR.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the attached Ordinance amending Policy 2017-1 of the Village of Arlington Heights.
