At the September 4, 2018 Closed Session, the Village Board authorized settlement of the workers' compensation claim for Matthew Boucek, Police Officer. Mr. Boucek was attempting to control the movement of a domestic battery offender when the individual attempted to pull away causing Mr. Boucek  to lose his balance and twist his left knee.

The settlement amount of $56,830.30 falls within the authorization previously granted by the Board.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Village Board approve the workers' compensation settlement for Mr. Boucek in the amount of $56,830.30.
