On behalf of BP Products N.A., Inc. (BP), Arcadis U.S., Inc. is submitting this request for the Village of Arlington Heights to enter into a Highway Authority Agreement.

The Agreement follows the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's format for these types of agreements. This agreement is needed as an institutional control to eliminate exposure risk of petroleum impacted soil and/or groundwater near the above referenced Site. The HAA is being requested instead of a Groundwater Ordinance because an HAA covers petroleum impacted soil in addition to petroleum impacted groundwater.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Village Board adopt the attached Resolution approving a Highway Authority Agreement for the property at 102 W Northwest Hwy.
