Two times per year, subject to availability of funds, the Village solicits requests from other governmental bodies for the release of monies collected from developers under the Village's Land Dedication Ordinance. As of April 30, 2019 the following summarizes the amounts collected and the requests from the other governmental bodies including their proposed designation for the use of these monies:
Arlington Heights School District 25 – To fund improvements to existing schools.
Total collected to date and requested: $1,992.76
Wheeling School District 21 – To fund improvements to Poe and Riley Elementary buildings.
Total collected to date and requested: $3,311.00
Community Consolidated School District 59 – To fund improvements to existing schools, specially asphalt repair, security system cameras upgrades, and pest management.
Total collected to date and requested: $2,380.84
Township High School District 214 – To offset costs related to improvements of existing business, technology, special education and facility improvement projects at Hersey High School.
Total collected to date and requested: $2,711.72
Arlington Heights Park District – To fund improvements and/or additions to parks.
Total collected to date and requested: $26,280.08
Arlington Heights Memorial Library – To help fund the reupholstering of furniture to be used in the public space.
Total collected to date and requested: $2,110.90
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Village Board approve disbursement of contributions in lieu of land dedication to various local governments and approve the local governments' designation for use of the monies totaling $38,787.30.
